Look and Feel

The Vanguard uses both convected and radiant heat, taking in cold air from the floor and moving through the upwards grille to warm evenly throughout the space. On the top of the Vanguard Wi-Fi is the onboard programmer which features a backlit LCD screen and easy to use digital keys. No smells or dark marking will be produced by the radiator as the element is sealed away.

The Vanguard is easy to operate and quick to install. All fittings come with delivery as well as brackets and an installation template. The whole process is as simple as plug in and go. The setup is simple, using the 9 pre-set programmes and visible readings.

Efficiency

The Vanguard is Lot 20 approved and features a range of energy saving technology such as open window detection, adaptive start and geo-location.

The open window detection mode monitors the room's heat levels and if a large drop in temperature is sensed, the system will react to reduce energy wastage. Drops in warmth can derive from window and door drafts; the model will re-evaluate the ambient surroundings and act gradually to achieve the target setting.

Adaptive start will boost the efficiency and comfort of the unit, it ensures the heat level is achieved only at the time it is required. The model's ‘Intelligent Control System’ (ITCS) learns the needs of the room and becomes more efficient over time.

Geo-location uses the radiator’s onboard WiFi and the smart device app. The system will auto pause its function when it senses the owner will not arrive home on time, amending the day’s heating schedule. This function can be switched off, and the distance from the home required to activate the module can be adjusted.

Functionality

The Vanguard's Wi-Fi option offers a wide range of functions to improve performance and comfort. The unit features a proportional regulating system which ensures accurate warmth control. The energy usage meter can be seen through the onboard screen and App.

The Vanguard has a range of user modes: Comfort, Eco and Frost protect. Tailored modes are available, letting the user personalise their heating.

The Wi-Fi multi-link gateway plugs into the owner’s internet router. The radiators can link with each other for zone control. Each of the Vanguard’s can be controlled through a free smart phone app allowing you to view energy usage levels and weekly schedules whilst out of the house.
