The Dimplex PLX and PLX TI are great replacements for an old panel heater and are both stylish, space saving and efficient electric heating systems. The high-accuracy adjustable thermostat responds to very small changes in room temperature to reduce temperature drift.
Panel heaters do not have to be expensive to run. The amount of energy used will depend on how large and cold the room is. Just like any product used during the daytime panel heaters will use normal rate electricity, however, Dimplex PLX and PLX TI panel heaters have highly accurate thermostats to help reduce running costs by avoiding over-heating a space.

Sensitive Thermostat
Conventional bi-metal thermostats can allow ‘drift’ of as much as 5°C in room temperature, owing to the effects of the changing heater output, resulting in discomfort for the user and energy wastage.
Dimplex PLX panel heaters feature close tolerance gas filled thermostats, maintaining room temperatures to within +/- 1.5°C, eliminating resultant under/over heating, and improving user comfort and energy efficiency.
The difference between PLX and PLX TI
The PLX TI models have a frost protection setting and programmable 24 hour timers enabling heating to be programmed in advance. The override switch enables the timer to be by-passed without altering the preset program. The detachable hinged wall mounting frame insures fast installation and easy cleaning.
