We offer a wide range of greenhouse heaters that can be used in all types of greenhouses. They are available in a variety of shapes and sizes offer high protection against adverse weather. Help your plants and produce grow bigger and stronger by providing them with a constant reliable heat source throughout the harsher months of winter.
Greenhouse Heater with Thermostat
When heating a greenhouse, there are two main requirements. It is very important to be able to maintain a set temperature and we need to ensure that the heater is safe to use in outdoor conditions. Many keen gardeners who keep greenhouses will need to maintain a constant temperature over the winter months. As the weather eases off, it will not be required as much but will need to be functioning in case of any cold snaps. Because of the unreliability of the great British weather, it makes sense to have a greenhouse heater that turns itself on and off at set temperatures. This will ensure that you don’t forget to turn it on or off and make it the most energy efficient way to use your electric greenhouse heater.
Small Greenhouse Heater
If you are looking for a small greenhouse heater, you will find that quite a few of our products will be suitable for you. Each of our products state what size area they are suitable for so you’ll have to have a measure up of your greenhouse. As it is in outdoor conditions, we would advise that you go for the next size up to ensure that the heater will adequately heat you whole space. If you are unsure, please contact us on 01473 276686 and we can advise you further.
Polytunnel Heater
Along with greenhouses, polytunnels will also need heat if you are growing certain produce during the colder months. Many of our products are suitable as polytunnel heaters and you will find that they are a reliable source of heat. Again, we’d recommend the use of a thermostat to control the temperature.
Cold Frame Heater
We get many requests for cold frame heaters but find that the products we recommend vary massively depending on your cold frame. As you’ll know, you can get cold frames that are bell shaped and is large enough to fit over one large pot or you can custom build them to whatever size you require. In the bell shaped example, we could suggest you use an infrared patio heater which offers some direct radiant heat. However, this would be quite hard to regulate the temperature. You may be better off covering the cold frame over at night to keep it warmer. With larger cold frames, we often suggest tubular heaters as they can be used outside and can fit nicely along the frames. If you are looking for a cold frame heater and are unsure exactly what you are looking for, we would suggest you call us first and we can guide you.
